Summer Activities Phase 1 Test and revise the statements of values, mission, vision Finalize the statements of values, mission, vision Phase 2: Develop goals and objectives for each area of strategic focus Develop action plans for each strategic initiative Develop a strategic map that prioritizes and integrates the strategic initiatives, areas of strategic focus, and supporting elements
Design Features for Phase 2 Organize project groups for each set of strategic initatives Expand the number of people who are involved (~ 200 can be included) Make sure that faculty know they are welcome Include enough participants to accommodate individual needs (vacations, etc) Steering Committee s role is integrative Continue to create documentation that summarizes all work Be mindful that certain topics/questions may require additional engagement Create momentum to quickly execute on high priority, high impact, low cost actions
