Purpose of Plan Purpose of Plan Inform collaboration between N4G constituencies aimed at mobilising ambitious commitments by: Sharing information on who is doing what to enable organic collaboration identifying priorities for jointly planned activities and events (depending on interest).

Focus on priority donors (leveraging G7 Carbis Bay Communique and the G20 Matera Declaration): o World Bank - Increase funding & impact for nutrition prioritised through IDA20 Human Capital Pillar and the Crisis Response Window o GFF - Increase nutrition sensitivity of investments, using N4G Summit as a key mobilization moment o Regional Development Banks Focus on growth allocation for nutrition o US - Nutrition allocations in COVID supplement, cross-congressional champion work, IDA, and Global Financing Facility processes. o EU - Increased investments over next 7 years o Canada Nutrition sensitive investments through multilateral mechanisms GAVI, GFF, GPE, IDA20 etc o Japan - Multi-year financial and policy commitments o France - Continue the N4G legacy o Philanthropies - Support operationalization of the Coalition of Philanthropies for Global Nutrition Socialize the Responsible Business Pledge with business, especially SMEs 1. Engage with specific commitment makers Lift up nutrition in COVID-19 Recovery: Increase investment and action in nutrition in global and national response planning both through IDA and beyond the development sector, including through G20 processes & innovative financing. Lift up nutrition through the women and girl s empowerment agenda, particularly targeting US and France and other G20 member states. Leverage the Generation Equality Forum to ensure that investments target women across food, health and social protection systems. 2. Leverage global & regional events Active engagement in the UN Food Systems Summit Solution Clusters and Coalitions. Ensuring national food systems actions plans deliver for nutrition 3. Ensure UNFSS delivers for nutrition Invest in a communications package (including 30 second elevator pitch, a compelling narrative and media resources) that can be adapted for engagement with priority high burden countries and donors 4. Speak with a united voice Rally around the global Nutrition Accountability Framework 5. Promote accountability Support Tokyo N4G Summit preparations Encouraging France to continue the N4G legacy 6. Support successful N4G Summit & legacy

Engage with specific commitment makers Engage with specific commitment makers business, civil society & UN, parliamentarians UN, parliamentarians business, civil society & Commitment makers Who is doing what? Opportunities for collaboration 20+ large companies signed up to the Responsible Business Pledge (RBP) and are currently developing SMART commitments that will be announced in the months before N4G. The Workforce Nutrition Alliance scorecard was launched in May 2021 and will offer implementation technical support programme for signatories. More than 70 investors have signed ATNI's Investor Expectations on Diets, Nutrition and Health. Investors are developing a pledge which will be a call to action for food and beverage companies PoN continues to engage private sector networks to encourage joint pledges, utilizing the Cost of Stunting Research. PoN are open to increased collaboration with others. Other constituencies are invited to help raise awareness of the Responsible Business Pledge amongst other businesses, in particular SMEs. Are there further opportunities to accelerate the Zero Hunger Coalition? Clarify commitment-registration processes for joint public-private pledge Business Each UN agency is elaborating its own commitment and UN Nutrition is working to engage other UN agencies beyond usual collaborators on nutrition (e.g. UNDP) PoN and CSOs working with UN agencies to craft joint N4G commitments CSOs working with UNICEF and WFP to support implementation of GAP on Wasting Leverage existing country level platforms to renew and align UN investments and support Encourage UN agency coordination & coherence in response to the global hunger crisis UN Nutrition and UNDP, WHO are working on investment case to showcase how investments in nutrition can make money opportunity for others to lift this up UN The SUN Civil Society Network (CSN) and International Coalition for Advocacy on Nutrition (ICAN) are working with members to develop civil society commitments. Support INGOs to strengthen local partner capacities and voice Share lessons from large CSO, multilateral and government partnerships (e.g., Ethiopia). GAP: Public messaging targeting mainstream press and linking to COVID/women and girls- The Economist/Wall Street/Times. GAP: Joint event and publicity in The Economist Health Week? GAP: Opportunities for all constituencies to come together to collectively identify champions or diplomats that can be deployed? COP26 Nov Insert nutrition language into key communiques and statements. Share intel on who is doing what to get nutrition into key statements and targets. AU Commission (extra. GNR 2021 launch Dec Highlight gaps in progress at country level and ensure a unified voice on social media, calling for urgent scale up of commitments.

Constituencies raise awareness of commitment registration process (pre- and post-September) and the evolving global Nutrition Accountability Framework Constituency technical input into the design of the NAF Constituencies socialise the NAF value proposition as the world s first global independent accountability framework beyond N4G. Support the clarification of how potential commitment- makers meet the eligibility against the alignment with PoEs and N4G country priorities.
