  1. Faculty Roundtable Working Toward your Next Promotion CUWAA Facilitated by CELT The Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching November 16, 2021 1

  2. It is not the career that is important but the purpose for which you work. Verse: Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on him God the Father has placed his seal of approval. John 6:27 It can become very disheartening if you only work to gain money or recognition. If you can find a job that gives you purpose and direction, however, and fulfils the call God has on your life, then you will find greater capacity no matter what the task at hand. Jesus never gave directives as to what career people should aim for in their lives. But He did give some overarching goals anyone could apply. He encouraged His followers to produce fruit that would last. No matter what you do or how much you earn, what fruit are you striving to grow? Prayer: Lord, may we never be satisfied with just earning money or recognition. May we seek to find purpose and fulfilment in all areas of our life. In Jesus name we pray. Amen. 2
