Building relationships off and on-campus Campus tours (on-line and in-person supports) Tutoring services Intervention plans Constant communication with students through multiple platforms (email, school messaging, text, phone) Positive, supportive relationships with guidance counsellors and dual credit instructors Student toolkit and welcome email Providing flexibility One-on-one support Differentiated instruction Scaffolding Mental health support Engaging non academic related initiatives/learning opportunities Creating competitions and fun in the classroom Engagement with a College Advisor One to one appointments to create a semester plan and information sessions specific to skills students need to be successful. Phone calls get a better response verses emails Weekly updates emailed to students (e.g., upcoming assignments/tests due) In-school support team meets regularly and are in constant communication with teachers/students to identify areas of need and supports we can provide Personal connections & follow-up Creating community through engaging/interactive activities (ie Would you rather...) Scheduled meetings with student 2x/semester Consistent, persistent text or email messaging re: reminders, assignments
