  1. Why StREAM? A Guide for Students Student Learning and Academic Registry

  2. What is StREAM? How do I access it? StREAM is Teesside University s platform for helping you to keep track of your engagement as a TU student. You can see your engagement profile at https://engage.tees.ac.uk/. Log in with the same TU credentials that you use to access your email. For addition information and user guides please visit https://www.tees.ac.uk/sections/stud/stream.cfm

  3. But what is engagement? Engagement is a term that refers to how you are interacting with the university in various categories that reflect your daily life as a student. Interactions such as your attendance, library card swipes and postings on Blackboard Ultra (BbU) are all signs that you are participating in the daily business of being a TU student. Staff can also use StREAM to record their interactions with you, such as when you stop by for a meeting with your Personal Tutor, or when you have an appointment with the Student Journey Team.

  4. What can my engagement score do for me? Being aware of your engagement score (which is contained in your engagement profile page) can help you to understand your progress towards your goals. If you notice a dip in your score, you can work on developing some strategies to improve your engagement in all aspects of your daily activities as a TU student. The more you engage, the higher your engagement score!

  5. Who else can see my engagement profile? Your personal tutor can see your engagement score, plus module tutors and course leaders assigned to you. Support staff from groups such as the Student Success Team and the Student Journey Team also have access to your engagement profile.

  6. What else can StREAM do for me? Staff can use StREAM to refer you to other campus services. For example, your personal tutor can use StREAM to refer you to Disability Services for an assessment if you request it, or to the Student Success Team if you are struggling with your studies and your engagement.

  7. Who should I contact with questions? For any difficulties with accessing the site, contact IT help at ithelp@tees.ac.uk. For guidance in interpreting your engagement information, see your personal tutor, module tutor or course leader.

  8. Thank you!
