Doha Programme of Action for the LDCs was adopted on 17 March 2022 Fifth UN Conference on the LDCs took place in Doha, Qatar, from 5-9 March 2023 Priority areas: - Investing in people in LDCs: eradicating poverty and building capacity to leave no one behind - Leveraging the power of STI to fight against multidimensional vulnerabilities and to achieve the SDGs - Supporting structural transformation as a driver of prosperity - Enhancing international trade of LDCs and regional integration - Addressing climate change, environmental degradation, recovering from COVID-19 pandemic and building resilience against future shocks for risk- informed sustainable development (Research Title here) - Mobilizing international solidarity, reinvigorated global partnerships (Research Title here) (Researcher) and innovative tools and instruments: a march towards sustainable graduation

  8. LDC Food Stockholding Mechanism LDCs Food Security Context Food security in LDCs has declined. In 2023, 57.3% of the population in LDCs were either in moderate or severe food insecurity. Between 2011-2022, LDCs accounted for 70% global food emergencies. Higher than average rates of undernourishment 22% (2010 -2022) versus global average which declined from 10% in 2010 to 8% in (Research Title here) 2022. (Research Title here) (Researcher)

  9. LDC Food Stockholding Mechanism Mandate DPOA has a strong emphasis on the need to address food insecurity through renewed and strengthened commitments. LDC Food Stockholding Mechanism Objective and expected results The proposed objective of the Mechanism is to establish food stocks, physical or virtual, which can ensure adequate food availability at affordable prices in food crisis situations in LDCs.
