  2. Objectives To present a report on- the activities of the Advisory Committee (AC) since its inauguration in October 2015 in Kimberley and future plans and activities of the AC. 1. 2. Learn Grow Serve 2

  4. Operational plan Four Focus Areas 1. Strengthening the governance of the PSTF. 1.1 Activities include advancing the recognition, status and role of the PSTF in the public sector, 1.2 Source funding for the forum activities and the conference. Learn Grow Serve 4

Organise learning and development interventions for trainers and HRD practitioners in the public sector. 2.1 Forming study groups for curriculum development, research, writing and teaching of case studies, training methodology, e-learning to improve the quality of learning and development in the public sector. 2.2 Work out an improved format of the national conference. Promote the coordination and implementation of policy within HRD. 3.1 Focusing on the calls of the National Development Plan (NDP), Medium Term Strategic Framework (MTSF), the Government Programme of Action (POA) and Outcomes 5 and 12. 3.2 Focusing on the issues of Youth and the Jobs, work integrated learning (WIL), as well as articulation and progression matters. Strengthen value-adding partnerships with other forums and councils, professional bodies and associations to advance HRD practice in the public sector. 4.1 Forge links with bodies such as, the SA Board for People Practices (SABPP), the Institute of People Management (IPM), other national and international bodies, such as, the American Society for Training and Development. MILESTONES Review and report on the alternative governance framework Review the framework for advancing or promoting policy coordination and implementation issues of HRD Partnerships with, among others, SABPP, IPM, AMDIN, CAPAM evaluated and reviewed. 1. Strengthening the governance of the PSTF A framework for advancing or promoting policy coordination and implementation issues of HRD developed. 2. Promote the coordination and implementation of policy within HRD Formalised collaboration with among others, SABPP, IPM, AMDIN, CAPAM established. Adopted standards from, among others, SABPP, IPM, AMDIN, CAPAM institutionalised by the PSTF. International Relations 3. Strengthen value- adding partnerships with other forums and councils, professional bodies and associations to advance HRD practice in the public sector. 4. Organise learning and development interventions for trainers and HRD practitioners in the public sector. Study groups established and themes identified. Study group themes identified. Connect the PSTF activities with sectoral colleges/academies Work closely with the Forum of State Academies (FSA) 4.
