STUBE is a development-oriented education program for students from Africa, Asia, Latin America, and Eastern Europe. It provides seminars, events, and financial support for internships and study visits in home countries. STUBE aims to empower students as future change agents in their home countries.

What is STUBE? development-oriented education programme for students from Africa, Asia, Latin America and Eastern Europe Seminars and other events on a variety of interesting topics Funded by Brot f r die Welt and Protestant Church of the Palatinate
Why the need for STUBE? Key players for future change in home country Development-oriented knowledge Global, development-related issues Contrive solution approaches STUBE helps acquiring special skills and knowledge STUBE supports students who plan to return
STUBEs target group Students from so called developing countries Students from other countries are also welcome Registered at a university in Rheinland-Pfalz or Saarland interested in meeting other students from different countries and universities Regardless of: discipline, religious beliefs, cultures
STUBE offers Weekend seminars (Friday afternoon until Sunday noon) One-day seminars (Saturday morning until afternoon) Field trips (e.g. Berlin) Evening events (e.g. discussions, film screenings) Financial support of internships and study visits in home country/region (BPSA) Exchange with other students and organisations Participation
Preparatory Vocational Internships and Study Stays (BPSA) Financial support of an internship or study visit in home/ neighbouring country (4 weeks-6 months) Enable implementation of acquired expertise Get in touch with potential employers Write an assignment related to the home country Visit family
Benefits of the BPSA programme BPSA bears travel expenses: Airfare: max 1.280 Travelling allowance: 300 (4-8 weeks stay) Travelling allowance: 500 (8 weeks-6 months)
Who will be funded? Registered at a university in Rheinland-Pfalz or Saarland Do not receive a scholarship Have not visited the home country in the last 20 months Enrolled at a university in Germany for at least 3 semesters Not able to pay travel expenses themselves Demonstrate interest in developmental issues Already attended STUBE seminars
Application Application form (www.stube-rps.de) Required documents (e.g. CV, letter of invitation, letter of recommendation etc.) Applications have to be sent to STUBE by responsible person in the International Office, ESG or KHG obligatory participation in preparatory and reviewing seminar Report and presentation of the internship/stay Deadlines: 15 November (January to June), 15 May (July to December)
