In addition to maintaining full-time enrollment, student-athletes must have the following: Be in Good Academic Standing at all times 2.0 cumulative GPA at the start of every fall semester Maintain progress toward your degree Be aware of program specific minimum grade requirements Must declare a major prior to your 5thsemester (junior year)

In order to meet the Progress-Toward-Degree requirements, student-athletes must successfully: Pass 9 degree-applicable hours each semester in order to be eligible for the next term, Pass 18 degree-applicable hours during the academic year, which is comprised of the fall, winter intercession, and spring semesters (summer classes cannot be used), Pass 24 degree-applicable hours prior to the start of your next fall semester (summer classes may be used) Degree-applicable hours are those that are going toward a major, minor (max of 6 hrs/semester), gen eds and electives. All classes are degree-applicable for freshmen and sophomores

Freshmen and non-NCAA Transfers must be certified in Amateurism before competing. Need to request Amateurism for each sport Freshmen must also be certified Academically Submit ALL high school transcripts - If you went to multiple high schools, include all transcripts - Must have proof of graduation (graduation date) - Foreign transcripts need to be submitted in the native language and also translated to English Submit ALL high school transcripts
You are ineligible to compete if you ever: Accept pay, or promise of pay, Agree orally or in writing to compete in professional athletics, Use athletics skill for pay
Violations include: Accepting a bet or placing a bet for anything of value (e.g., food, clothes, money) and/or providing inside information Examples of impermissible gambling include: Fantasy Leagues, Super Bowl Pools, NCAA Tournament Pools/Brackets Fantasy Leagues, Super Bowl Pools, NCAA Tournament Pools/Brackets
Impermissible, if You: Are involved in point shaving or other activities designed to influence the outcome or win-loss margin of a game, OR Solicit or accept a bet or participate in any gambling activity involving wagering on your institution you ll lose all remaining eligibility immediately!
You may not accept anything that is not available to the general student body or not available the general public. Special arrangements and benefits apply to you AND your friends and relatives. A student-athlete may not: Receive more than 4 complimentary admissions to his/her athletics contest Receive payment from any source for his or her complimentary admissions and may not exchange or assign them for any item of value. Sell or exchange his or her complimentary admissions for money or any item of value to anyone, including teammates or other student-athletes.

Bylaw 14.2.4.1 Minimum Amount of Competition: Any competition (including a scrimmage with outside competition) during a season in an intercollegiate sport shall be counted as a season of competition in that sport. This provision is applicable to intercollegiate athletics competition conducted by a two-year or four- year collegiate institution at the varsity or sub-varsity level. Bylaw 14.2.2 Ten A student-athlete shall complete their seasons of participation during the first 10 semesters in which the student is enrolled in a collegiate institution in at least a minimum full-time program of studies, as determined by the regulations of that institution. COVID19 Waiver All spring-sport student-athletes received a season of competition and an extension of eligibility waiver in 2019-20 All fall and winter-sport student-athletes during the 2020-21 academic year and spring-sport student-athletes in due to the effects of COVID19

According to Illinois law, a person commits hazing by knowingly requiring another person in any educational institution to perform an act for the purpose of joining any organization connected with that institution, if such act results in bodily harm to anyone.
Lewis University defines hazing as an act that endangers the mental or physical health or safety of any person OR that defaces, destroys, or removes public or private property, for the purpose of initiation into, admission into, affiliation with, or continued membership in, any group or organization.
