Checklist for your exchange Document Action Required Read and fill in the information in Microsoft Forms (Trinity Business School students should also read the Information and Procedures form) Date of Submission Link to form Personal Declaration for Study Abroad - 2022-2023 Pre-approved Modules Form - 2022- 2023 Personal declaration 01/07/2022 1/08/2022 for Full year and Semester 1 exchanges; 1/12/2022 for Semester 2 exchanges Pre-approved Module form Fill-in the "Pre-approved module form" and upload the file in Microsoft Forms Fill-in the first part of the Learning Agreement and upload the file in Microsoft Forms Learning Agreement - Pre-departure Approval - 2022-2023 Learning Agreement Before mobility If the Online Learning Agreements (OLAs) is available at your host university, please fill-in the OLA form online Upload the document signed by the coordinator(s) & the host university in Microsoft Forms 2 weeks after commencement of studies at the host university Learning Agreement - 2022-2023 Learning Agreement If the Online Learning Agreements (OLAs) is available at your host university, please fill-in the OLA form online (During Mobility) Any changes to the LA, whilst away, must be agreed upon with coordinators & host university. Attain host university signature, then re-submit to attain coordinator(s) signature via Microsoft Forms Learning Agreement Resubmission Approval - 2022-2023 Directly after the host university signature has been attained Learning Agreement If the Online Learning Agreements (OLAs) is available at your host university, please fill-in the OLA form online If a change has been made to the LA, it must then be resubmitted via Microsoft Forms Learning Agreement - Resubmission - 2022- 2023 Directly, once all signatures have been attained Learning Agreement If the Online Learning Agreements (OLAs) is available at your host university, please fill-in the OLA form online As soon as the official transcript from the host university becomes available Study Abroad academic transcript - 2022-2023 Obtain academic transcripts from the host university and upload it together with the exchange transcript document in Microsoft Forms Transcripts Erasmus students: should also apply for the mobility grant via Erasmus@tcd.ie Trinity College Dublin, The University of Dublin
Preparing to go away 1. Do your research! Check the host university website to learn about your destination. 2. Get in touch with the contact person at your host university for information regarding modules and accommodation. 3. Complete your paperwork with the Academic Registry Make sure you can meet your programme requirements Check your programme handbook, if unsure talk to your coordinator Make sure your Host University allows you to meet subject requirements for your Capstone Project, think about prerequisites for SS modules Check your programme handbook, talk to your exchange coordinator Please remember that only students with a II.2 at the first attempt are allowed to go on exchange. If you have failed a module(s) and forced to resit an exam in August, we will notify you in June about the withdrawal of your application Trinity College Dublin, The University of Dublin
The Learning Agreement This is a very important document You must complete the Learning agreement Have it signed by your TCD coordinator(s) Have it signed and stamped by your host University Scan and email it to your course administrator All changes to the learning agreement must be approved by your TCD coordinators Trinity College Dublin, The University of Dublin
The Learning Agreement If students deviate from the programme of study agreed upon in their learning agreement, coordinators are not obliged to accept non-approved modules, which could jeopardize the student s ability to progress. Trinity College Dublin, The University of Dublin
Requirements While Away Full Year Exchanges Students must enrol into modules equivalent to 60 ECTS The results will be calculated on the best relevant 45 ECTS ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ One Term Exchanges Students must enrol into modules equivalent to 30 ECTS The result will be calculated on the best relevant 20 ECTS For the term spent in TCD students take 30 ECTS. Requirements While Away Please ensure your official transcript is sent to your main coordinator by the end of July Your grades will be translated using the College wide table available at: https://www.tcd.ie/study/assets/PDF/Grade%20Conversion%20Table s_November%202017.pdf If you fail to meet requirements, either by failing to get the requisite number of ECTS or by taking modules not deemed appropriate, your exchange will not be validated and your will have to repeat the year Trinity College Dublin, The University of Dublin
Support While Away All documents needed for your exchange are available on the Teams group (link here) On Academic issues, stay in touch with your coordinator(s) via their exchange email address and/or Teams: Especially important if you fail modules that jeapordize your ability to get requisite ECTS For pastoral issues, stay in touch with your college tutor It is recommended that you contact your tutor before you leave for Erasmus to let them know that you will be going away For queries about the Erasmus grant contact Erasmus@tcd.ie For other queries ask your Programme Administrator Trinity College Dublin, The University of Dublin
