  4. 2 SUBCOMMITTEE PROGRESSIVE CONTRACTING Mandate The Progressive Subcommittee Group was established to collaboratively discuss our collective move to progressive contracting. It is a forum where Metrolinx and ACEC members jointly discuss challenges, opportunities and develop to be presented to the broader Joint Committee. With a significant portion of the Metrolinx pipeline being delivered through progressive contracting, it is a forum to discuss lessons learned to date and how we mature together. Meetings Objectives & Guiding Principals Subcommittee will meet monthly for 6 months starting on October 17th. Establish roles and responsibilities of designers in progressive contracts. Understand challenges and obstacles from both perspectives of the contractor and vendor. Minimum of 2 ACEC Ontario and 2 Metrolinx Joint Committee Executive members will be present at each meeting. Provide recommendations and next steps to progressive projects and delivery. Both parties commit to upholding principles of fairness, transparency, collaboration, and mutual respect, maintaining a professional demeanor throughout their engagement. The Progressive Subcommittee Group s goal is to provide a jointly developed set of actions that addresses the challenges identified by both the Vendor and ACEC Members to the Joint Committee. 4
