Introduction: Political science is the branch of knowledge that deals with the state and system of government and it has many subfields. 4/4/2025 4
What is American Politics: It is the study of politics in the united states. Including the study of national institutions (Congress, Supreme Court, executive bureaucracy), state and local government, and representative processes at all levels (elections, public opinion, interest groups, political parties, protest and extremist groups). the President, the 4/4/2025 5
What is Comparative Politics: Comparative politics is the study of politics outside the United States or politics compared across countries, possibly including the USA. The field of comparative politics includes the study of governing institutions, behavior and procedures, policy, political movements and organizations, protest and revolution. electoral public social economy, 4/4/2025 6
What is International Relations: International Relations is the study of political relations between nation- states. Conclusion: Political science divides into many subfields and studies ,each of them has it is own interest. The overall field of political science includes several major subfields: American politics, comparative politics, international relations, political theory, and public policy.
