  2. Heres the deal The subject and verb in a sentence must agree, or work together. A singular subject needs a singular verb. A plural subject needs a plural verb. It just takes a little practice, that s all. Subj. Verb

  3. Use the following rules for verbs that tell about the present time: If the subj. is a singular noun or it it, add add s s or Ex. The planet grows s. Ex. The scientist teaches es school. Ex. He works s hard. singular noun or he he, she or es es to most verbs. she,

  4. If the subj. is compound you you, we we, or they the verb. Ex. The planets planets grow. Ex. The scientist and the assistant scientist and the assistant teach school. Ex. They They work hard. compound, a plural noun they, DO NOT add s s or es es to plural noun, or II,
