Summer 2022 Korea Trip Overview One month trip to Korea Host: Soongsil University, Seoul July 1 to August 1, 2022 (subject to change) 4 days on tourist trips 5 Free days 5
4 Courses to Choose from (6-9 Credits) PSYC 3355/SA 3355 Cross-Cultural Psychology Diversity Area course PSYC/SA 4490 Asian and Asian-American Culture and Psychology Elective BUSA 3500/SA 4490 Culture & International Business Taught mainly at KSU before travelling. Course will include cultural trips in Korea. MGT/SA 4490 Doing Business in Korea Course does real consulting with local firms jointly with Soongsil University students 6
COST: $1,950 Covers: All in-country program travel, lodging, medical insurance, Korean teachers, trip guides, entrance fees. Does NOT cover air fare or food. Does NOT include KSU course credit tuition (Hope Scholarship covers this). KSU global scholarship may be available, amount to be determined (up to $1,000 for every student in the past) 7
Highlights Partner with local Korean students. Language lessons from Korean professors. Visits to Korean firms for business courses. Field trips for psychology courses (TBA). Visits to Korean tourist spots in and around Seoul. Free time in Seoul to appreciate Korean culture, food, and people. Choice of courses. 8
Application Steps 1. Complete DGA online application https://kennesaw.studioabroad.com/inde x.cfm?FuseAction=Programs.ProgramDisc overy 2. Pay deposit 3. Application deadline: March 1st, 2022. 4. Apply online for internal and external scholarships (click on Scholarships tab within the program) 9
Payment Schedule 1. $300 deposit by March 1, 2022. Non- refundable. Contributes to total cost. 2. $975 by April 1, 2022. 3. $675 by April 15, 2022. 4. No refunds after April 17th, 2022. 5. Refunds if trip is cancelled due to COVID. 10
Cancelation due to COVID If the program is cancelled for COVID related reasons, all payments will be refunded Hopefully, travel to South Korea is safe by July 2022. Fingers crossed! 11
