Freshman Advantage Fall only For any first-time college student/graduating high school senior Complete enrollment steps early (application & matriculation) Early registration date
Promise Program For any first-time college student Eligibility CA Resident or eligible by AB 540/Dream Act Status Saddleback College of Record Complete FAFSA or Dream Act Application by 4/1 Submit FA documentation by 6/1 Enroll in 12 units each semester, including math and/or English during the first semester Success Coaches: Georgina Martinez and Erlynne Ballo Website: saddleback.edu/promise/Saddleback-College- Promise-Program
Financial Aid & SAP APpeals 3 reasons for a SAP Appeal: Cumulative GPA less than 2.0 Completion rate of less than 67% (units enrolled/units completed) Maximum time frame Goal - Associate degree/Transfer & have attempted 90 units Goal - Certificate & have attempted 45 units Has a Bachelor s Degree or beyond Helpful website: Financial Aid SAP
Financial Aid & SAP Appeals SAP MAP Tips MAP needs to be an Associate Degree, Associate Degree for Transfer or Certificate If the student s goal is to transfer, add the courses into the MAP and make notes about why the courses are needed If a student wants to take elective courses, make a MAP note Must approve plan - this is our signature with recent date If plan is already approved, unapprove and re-approve MAP

Financial Aid & SAP Appeals SAP MAP Tips Check the Ed Info Screen in MySite. If the Program of Study is not Financial Aid approved, have the student fill out the submit the Educational Data Update/Student Information Change Form to A&R
