Board Procedures Should a vacancy occur in the position of Superintendent the Board will follow: Establish a search timeline, minimum qualifications, salary, characteristics or qualities and application process Establish if Community Advisory Committee will be used Selection of Finalists and Discussion of Contract Finalist Interviews
Board Procedures In an emergency situation, the Board will appoint an interim Superintendent. The Board will determine whether it will appoint an executive director to the position or use a retired superintendent for the interim term.

Cost of Search Current District Staff could perform the functions of the Search Contract with an outside company to perform Superintendent Executive Search Services current agreements throughout the State are between $30,000 -$55,000. Request a letter of Interest from potential outside companies wherein agreement is negotiated with a not-to-exceed project cost of $35,000. Will take about 3 weeks to secure outside company If agreement will exceed $35,000 will need to perform an RFP this could add an additional 4-6 weeks to the timeline
