Reminder: Support for GC Food Bank 1. Purchase a new Thanksgiving or Christmas dish towel. Bring it to 3 Militia Drive on Mon. Nov. 9th, Tues. Nov. 10th, or Wed. Nov. 11th, between 9am and 4pm. 2. SupportOne Wraparound Teams What are SupportOne wraparound teams? Teams consisting of 4-7 families and/or individuals who wrap around foster/adoptive families to provide them with support and encouragement for a minimum 1-year commitment Goal is to provide organized and accountable friendship/community they can count on
Wrap-Around Support of Foster and Adoptive Families 1. CARE TEAM Serve family through babysitting, mentoring, tutoring or respite 2. ENCOURAGE TEAM Serve family through proactive prayer and creative encouragement 3. HELP TEAM Serve family by helping with tasks such as meals, laundry, yardwork, appointments, transportation, etc., as needed. 4. TEAM LEADER Team leader works to help recognize the needs of the family and empower the team to creatively and consistently respond. They oversee communication and accountability with the rest of the team members and trouble- shoot and strategize with team and family.
SupportOne Wraparound Teams Our desire at Home for Good/Fostering Hope is to create a culture of care at Grace where teams of 4-7 families or individuals wrap around foster and adoptive families to provide support and encouragement in specific and consistent ways.
