Introduction: Different work accidents create several socioeconomic problems for community. In addition to the direct effects of the accidents, these are major causes of functional damages and other work-related problems.
Introduction: Occupational consequences of the expansion of industry and modern technology which threatens life in workers. It is estimated approximately one hundred million occupational injuries happen in the world. According to NIOSH s report, 7 million annual work-related accidents occur in America, three million of them would be severe and leading to death of 6,500. accidents are one of the undesirable
Introduction: In Iran, 20,399 people are injured annually, of these, 85 people die (0.42% of accident victims).
Objectives: Given the importance of preventing work-related accidents, it is necessary first to assess the accidents carefully to identify their reasons.Therefore, this study aimed to investigate work-related accidents in 1391 among workers in industries and workplaces in Kermanshah province.
Methods: The study is cross-sectional study. The research population include injured workers in industries and workplaces in Kermanshah province in 1391. The research data were collected by referring to the labour inspection department of Kermanshah. The obtained data were analyzed.
Results: the number of injured people were 382 person. The results showed that the most common accidents were related to construction and industry workers (with 57.1%) and(with 17.8%) respectively.

Results: Consideringthe time of the incident, it was found that most accidents occurred in the morning hours. Also, in terms of the gender, the present study indicated that the rate of the accidents were more in man than women(with 99.5%). Also, the aged group of 25-29 and married people had more accidents. More married (with 69.6 %) were injured. Most the injured victims had a diploma degree(with 24.9%).
Results: The results showed that hands (with 38/2%) were the most affected. The next rank was related to legs (with 25.4%) were the most affected. Also (11.3 %) of victims died. The results indicated that falling was the leading cause of accident (with 26.7 %) followed by beating objects and machines (with 20.7%) (Table 2).

Discusion: The results indicated that the incident was related to construction activities. The study is consistent with other studies (Joeng, Kartam, Unsar and Sut) while is contradictory with the other study such as my previous study. It seems that there are some reasons about the high rate of accidents in construction workers such as increasing trend of home construction in Kermanshah. Furthermore, construction workers are naturally at risk of accident.
Discusion: Falling was the leading cause of accident which is in line with the other studies(Iran: Helwany, Hong Kong: Wang, Taiwan: Chai).
Discusion: The results illustratedthat 11.3 of accident victims were dead which are higher compared with national average rate of death in this regard (with 0.42%).
Discusion: Consideringthe education level of accident victims, the results indicated that the incident was related to those who had high school education level.These results contrast with the results of other studies (Bahrampour in Yazd- Mehrabi of staff of the armed forces-Khodabande in Kerman coal mines).
Discusion: At the time of the incident, accident victims, sex and marital status of accident victims, the results of this study are consistent with results of other studies (rubbery, Bahrampour, Lopez, Jerusalem and Mehrparvar)
