The SWLEP/Growth Hub Overview Business support arm of the Swindon & Wiltshire Local Enterprise Partnership Provides free guidance and signposting for businesses Delivers business support programmes Since May 2020 the service has significantly expanded from a web based portal with the deployment of: 4 x Business Navigators 1 x Digital Advisor 1 x Skills Advisor
In March 2020, The Growth Hub rapidly mobilized and has been key in responding to the needs of our business community since the start of the pandemic. Coronavirus Coronavirus We have supported nearly 1000 businesses across all sectors with signposting and guidance. Currently delivering the ERDF Recovery Grant which has seen over 550 applications (application window closed 19th October 2020) In September 2020 we launched the This Way Up series of webinars to help businesses recover and adapt to the current situation.
Helping the business community recover and adapt, This Way Up is an ongoing programme of webinars and support from our Digital Advisor. This Way Up This Way Up The series covers topics including: leadership effective digital sales finance mental health marketing and more All webinars are available on catch up. If you are adapting your digital approach, then our Digital Advisor can help guide you through the latest technologies that could be deployed in your business.
Our flagship support Programme. From starting a business to employing new staff, growing your business to launching new products, we re here to guide you through all stages with free and impartial advice. SME SME Competitiveness Competitiveness Whether you re an established SME or just starting out, our SME Competitiveness Programme will assist your and your business through the myriad of support available. This Programme is ERDF funded and delivered via the Growth Hub along with our partners YTKO and SETsquared.
Businesses that seek external advice or undertake formal training are more likely to improve their overall performance. We are establishing diverse cohort groups to collaboratively work through common business issues. Peer Networks Peer Networks Peer Networks is designed for business leaders who want to grow their organisation for future success. This Programme is open to SME businesses that have: Operated for at least one year At least five employees A turnover of at least 100,000
Other Services Skills and Apprenticeships (Higher Futures) Dedicated Skills Advisor to help you get the most out of apprenticeships and available training. Kickstart Scheme We are a local Representative for the Government s Kickstart programme with over 130 placements all ready in progress.
