  1. Choose a short story in which you feel sympathy with one of the main characters because of the difficulties or injustice or hardships she or he has to face. Describe the problems the character faces, and by referring to appropriate techniques, show how you are made to feel sympathy for her or him.

  2. Your essay will need Introduction 3-5 main paragraphs to answer the question Conclusion

  3. Introduction Title of the story Who wrote it? What is it about? What will you be talking about in your essay?

  4. Paragraph 2 One way we feel sorry for the character of is .. Quotation Explain what your quotation means/tells us How does this make you feel sorry for the character?
