IMPLEMENTATION OF A TACTICAL APPROACH TO IMPROVING THE RESULTS OF UNDERSTANDING AND SKILLS IN PLAYING BADMINTON ELYNADHITA SUPRIYATIN AFFILIATION
INTRODUCTION Education in general means a process in life to develop each individual in carrying out life. In the classification of game sports, badminton is included in net games or games that use net media The author chose a tactical approach to improve students' badminton playing skills because this tactical approach has the property of arousing students' interest and enjoyment of the subject matter of game sports, which is indeed the background of the authors conducting this research because students of SMPN 2 Kota Cirebon, especially class VIII have deficiencies in terms of skills in playing badminton, even though they really like the game of badminton itself.
METHODS In this study the method used is the experimental method. The sample in this study used a random sampling technique In collecting data, the writer took data using a questionnaire instrument and Game Performance Assesment Instrument (GPAI)
RESULT This means that the tactical approach is stated to have an effect on increasing student understanding results. Against Playing Skills The tactical approach can also affect students' badminton playing skills. The author's statement was obtained after the author processed the data using the paired sample t test. It was stated that the experimental group had a significance value (2-tailed) 0.000 <0.05. Then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted.

CONCLUSION Thus, the conclusions of this study indicate that the tactical approach has a positive impact, both in increasing the results of students' understanding matter and in improving students' skills in playing badminton. These results provide important implications for the development of learning methods environment as well as sports coaching, especially in increasing the effectiveness of the learning and training students. of the subject in the school process for
