  2. Purpose of the T & L Pathway Recruit and Retain Local Rising Educators through Grow Your Own Imperative Rising Educators interested in Critical Shortage Areas Highly Effective and Diverse Educators 3

Process Establish Needs Current state study (systems, relationships, behaviors and beliefs) Disruptors - Quality work already in place Established Guiding Principles Elicit and analyze feedback from partners Target technical changes - Pathway and Student Organization Target adaptive changes - dispositions, social conditioning, beliefs about profession Contextualization

  4. Aspects of the T & L Pathway Balance between scholarly and clinical experiences, emphasizing REFLECTIVE PRACTICE Recognize teaching as a profession and as an opportunity for COMMUNITY IMPACT. Knowledge, Skills, and Dispositions of an EFFECTIVE EDUCATOR in and beyond the classroom. Engages rising educators as participants in the statewide LEARNING COMMUNITY of educators. 5

Four Course Sequence Learning Communities The Learner Centered Classroom The Professional Educator Collaborative Clinical Experiences or Principles of Career and Technical Education (Must be taught by a CTE teacher with a Rank II and 5 years experience) or Advanced Course in identified area of teaching (AP and/or Dual Credit Course) https://www.educatorsrising.org/what-we-offer/standards 6

  6. T & L Pathway Teacher Leaders All courses, except Principles of Career and Technical Education Rank II 5 Years of Experience AP and/or Dual Credit Requirements Many more teachers serving as Mentor teachers and as learning community colleagues. 7

  7. Cohesive and Continuous Supports for Teachers High School Teaching and Learning Pathway Clinical Experiences Regional and targeted program relationships Professional Support Networks Ed Rising CTSO IHE Prep Program Teacher Leaders 8
