  3. Mark 12:28-34

  4. One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer,

  5. he asked him, Of all the commandments, which is the most important?

  6. The most important one, answered Jesus, is this: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one.

  7. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.

  8. The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these.

  9. Well said, teacher, the man replied. You are right in saying that God is one and there is no other but him. To love him with

  10. all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is more

  11. important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.

  12. When Jesus saw that he had answered wisely, he said to him, You are not far from the kingdom of God.

  13. And from then on no one dared ask him any more questions.

  30. 1) The Gold Rule: He who has the Gold makes the rules (Might Makes Right)

  31. 2) The Golden Rule: Do to others as you would have them do unto you. (Matt 7:12)

  32. 3) The Royal Rule: Do unto others as Jesus does unto you (Eph 4:32)

  33. Weve Transitioned to The Second Great Commandment. (How to treat others)

  34. The first Great Commandment is Vertical (Just as are the first 5 of the 10 Commandments)

  35. The second Great Commandment is Horizontal (Just as are the second 5 of the 10 Commandments)

  36. Final Thought (With preachers that does not mean that we are close to the end )

  37. You are not far from the kingdom of God

  38. Knowledge does not save

  39. Obedience does not save

  40. Placing ones faith in Jesus saves !!!

  41. Jesus is Inviting us Matt 11:28-30

  42. "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

  43. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

  44. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
