Team-based System Development Proposal: AI Cup 2024 Competition
This term project proposal by J. H. Wang outlines a team-based system development approach involving data analysis using open datasets for the AI Cup 2024 Competition. The project requires proposals, presentations, and final reports to be submitted within specific deadlines. Team members need to provide a one-page description of their system ideas, including the introduction, methods, and team member responsibilities. The grading criteria emphasize system functionality, correctness, and project quality. Possible topics for the project include predicting power generation and financial question answering using advanced technologies.

About the Term Project Term project Team-based system development (<= 2 students per team) e.g. extension to homework Competition AI Cup 2024: https://www.aicup.tw/ai-cup-2024-competition Data analysis using open datasets is *suggested* in your project E.g. UCI Machine Learning repository, kaggle, Items required and schedule for all teams Proposal: *required* one week after midterm (Nov. 20, 2024) Presentations: *required* in the last three (or four) weeks (starting from Dec. 11, 2024 at the earliest) Final report: *required* before the end of the semester (Jan. 10, 2025)
Proposal for System Projects A one-page description of ideas about your system Introduction: an overview of the problem and possible issues Methods: major ideas of your design to solve the problem Team members: the names and responsibilities of each member must be clearly identified Preferred time slots: your preferred time slot to present A 20-minute presentation that focuses on the major ideas of your design, including demo and Q&A System functionality and presentation will be counted in the score
Proposal Submission Due: Nov. 20, 2024 How: iSchool+ The presentation schedule will be arranged in the last three (or four) weeks Starting from Dec. 11, 2024 at the earliest No other time slots available for presentation No presentation, no score for term project
About the Grading The score you ll get depends on the functionality, difficulty, and quality of your project For system development: System functions and correctness For CS students: You can either write your own program, or call existing open source code or library (but NOT only executing existing binary) E.g. Hadoop, Spark, TensroFlow, Keras, For non-CS students: You can also execute open source package such as Weka, Be careful about the big data size! Proposals, presentations, and reports are *required* for each team, which will be counted in the score Big Data Analytics, Spring 2017 NTUT CSIE 5
Possible Topics for Term Project AI Cup 2024 Competition TBrain: Competition to predict power generation based on regional microclimate data ( ) TBrain: Applications of RAG and LLM in Financial Question Answering ( RAG LLM )
