INSURANCE UPDATE 6 6 2021/2022 yearly claim rate rose to 50% Previous school year ended at 30% Insuritel brokered a multiyear deal replacing SafeWare with ITsavvy as our underwriter
SUSTAINING A1:1 INITIATIVE 7 7 50% breakage rate is a prohibitive expense to sustaining this initiative Anticipated a 10-15% breakage rate per manufacturers, vendors, and other districts experiences All K-2 Chromebooks are to stay in the classroom was discussed but not feasible Although educational Services has discussed a solution for weather/FID days Any student that does not sign the handbook and/or pay their insurance will not be permitted to take a device home All devices tagged (student information) This will be similar to how we initially distributed in the summer of 2019
SUSTAINING A1:1 INITIATIVECONTINUED 8 8 Evaluating with the Business Department and Finance Committee to plan future funding 50% fleet refresh 33% fleet refresh yearly thereafter Seek and apply for grant and alternative funding source opportunities ECF information to come in September (hot spots and Chromebooks) Signed a multiyear insurance contract to lock in our rate Minimize end of year collection/inventory impact to education Tagged devices will be tremendously beneficial moving forward
