  1. The Cactus: Trysdale, the main character, got a cactus as from a girl he liked as a response to one of his questions. When Trysdale had asked his questions earlier to this girl she had always gave him an answer the next day. However, this time he got the cactus. This puzzled him and for many days he waited for an answer but didn t get one. He went to a friend s wedding and afterword s they went to his Trysdale s house. His friend asked about the cactus and told him it was a cactus named Ventomarme which in English means Come and get me . This ment that the anwser Trysdale had been waiting for was already with him and he had not realized it.

  2. Come and get me. This mean that the answer Trysdale had been waiting for was already with him and he had not realized it. The Cactus story is by: O. Henery Name means in English, 'Come and take me. This quote is shows how un-thoughtful and wise Trysdale is. It shows this by telling you the importance of the cactus's name. the main character, gets the cactus and has no idea what it means. Unknown to him the cactus is a secret message from his girlfriend to an answer to his questions. The name of the cactus in English means Come and take me so the answer to his question was Come and get me. Unfortunately for him he did not find this out until too late. If he had been more attentive instead of being impatient and looking for a word answer, he should have looked at the cactus in depth. He could have found out the name and easily put two and two together forming his answer.

  3. The next day he waited, impatient, in his rooms for the word. This quote shows how impatient Trysdale is. Trysdale is very impatient as the quote says, "he waited, impatient, in his room." He is impatient because he does not want a true answer which would take time. Instead he wants an answer that was thought up at that moment. These answers could affect him in good and bad ways. For example if he was trying out for a job and didn't give the manager anytime to think, he probably wouldn't get it.

  4. ITS SYMBOLIZED CLOCK This symbol represents the time Trysdale was waiting for his response. It shows that he is impatient by it only having seconds and minutes. The seconds and minutes symbolize that he does not want to wait very long. However, it also shows that he is unwise. Impatience makes you unwise because patience usually leads to good thigs whil impatience does not. In the story The Cactus by O. Henry, Trysdale, the main character, got a cactus as from a girl he liked as a response to one of his questions. When Trysdale had asked his questions earlier to this girl, she had always Gavin him an answer the next day. However, this time he got the cactus. This puzzled him and for many days as he waited for an answer but didn t get one. He went to a friend s wedding and afterword s they went to his Trysdale s house.
