Mission Statement To build upon our residents current proficiency as educators and communicators by introducing them to new concepts in observation, feedback, pedagogy, and public speaking in order to cultivate the knowledge, skills, and scholarship needed to transition our residents from clinicians who educate into true clinician educators. What is required to earn the Clinician Educator Distinction? When a resident finishes, he/she will have: ~25 hours of classroom learning and workshops ~20 hours of structured observation A minimum of 30 hours of education practice (teaching!) One or more pieces of completed scholarship that live outside of Yale S L I D E 7
