  17. Youre a jobless graduate from Ihiala, Anambra State. You know that Ihiala is blessed with many important indigenes who are based in Lagos, among whom is Dr. Emma Okongwu, the CEO of Cadbury. You were reading newspaper one day and saw an advert by Ihiala Progressive Union (IPU) for the annual convention of the Lagos Branch of the Association, scheduled for next week Sunday. The notification advert, which carried the email and phone number of the signatory, was signed by Dr. Okongwu, who is the President of the Lagos Branch of IPU. Dr. Okongwu is also the Chairman of Consumer Goods Manufacturers Association of Nigeria. Identify the networking opportunities in this case and discuss how you would approach it. What action, if taken, crosses the border of networking? 17

WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT OUR COMPANY? You must have researched the company and be familiar with their history, products, philosophy, market share, but don t cram.   31. WHY DO YOU WANT TO WORK FOR US? Know one thing that stands the company out Look at its potentials or strengths WHY SHOULD I HIRE YOU? I have been involved in a number of engagements in the past, and have never failed, I don t think your company will be different WHAT ARE YOUR STRENGHTS & WEAKNESSES ? Be honest with your strength, identify them. Make your weakness tolerable and say you re working on it JARUSHUB CAREER ACADEMY 31

  32. WHY DO YOU WANT TO LEAVE YOUR CURRENT EMPLOYER? Study the two companies (current and the one interviewing you), and look for the strength of the one you re interviewing with over the current Never badmouth your current employer WHY PAY DO YOU EXPECT? For entry level, tell them they have a structure and you believe you will be fairly remunerated. If pressed further, give a range, based on research JARUSHUB CAREER ACADEMY 32
