PROPHECY 101 Lesson 2 The End of Prophecy
Prophecy 101 | Lesson 1 Notes |Review What is the difference between prophecy and prophesy ? To prophesy is to utter/speak the words of God. These words may or may not have future fulfillment. A false prophet could perform miracles, but it was the words/message that the people were to focus on. The Word of God comprises all God s prophesyings today. What is the definition of prophecy ? Prophecy is the declaration of the end from the beginning of one prophesying, they do have future fulfillment. It is God s essence/omniscience/immutability that is evidenced by prophecy.
Prophecy 101 | Lesson 2 Notes Things to know about prophecy ? Prophecy is different than the mystery. There are prophetic mysteries. Prophecy is all about Christ and His Kingdom on Earth. What is the subject(s) of prophecy? 1. The reconciliation of the earth. 2. This reconciliation is through God s Kingdom. 3. This kingdom is vested in the nation of Israel. 4. This kingdom will be everlasting. 5. When Christ came to the earth, it was to confirm the promises made unto the fathers.
Prophecy 101 | Lesson 2 Notes What is the end of prophecy? There are two major ends of prophecy. The end of the world, and the end of death. The end of the world takes place a thousand years before the end of death. Jesus Christ will restitute all things, and refreshing shall come from His presence. The end of prophecy sees to the increase of His government. The end of prophecy sees to new heavens and a new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness. The end of prophecy sees to the full destruction of every enemy, the last of which is death.
