What Is The Gospel Of Jesus Christ? So the disciples set out and went from village to village, preaching the GOSPEL - Lk 9:6 I am not ashamed of the GOSPEL, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes Ro 1:16
Gospel & Good News The word gospel was around long before Jesus used it. It was a well known term in ancient Greek & Roman culture.
Gospel & Good News The gospel was the good news that the people s enemy had been defeated and they no longer had to fear enslavement or destruction
The Gospel Of Jesus Christ is this: Belief in Jesus gives you victory over every enemy For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. - Jn 3:16
1. The Savior From Sin & Death Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Jn 11:25-6 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Ro 6:23 The Enemy: Satan
2. The Healer Of All Pain Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows . . . he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed. Is 53:4-5 The Enemy: Sickness
3. The Restorer Of Your God-Given Purpose For we are God s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Eph 2:10 The Enemy: Emptiness
4. The Giver Of The Holy Spirit Jesus said If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me streams of living water will flow from within him. By this he meant the Spirit - Jn 7:37-9 The Enemy: Weakness
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. (Matthew 11:28-30 NIV)
5. The Final King & Judge Of All People For God has set a day when He will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed. He has given proof of this to all men by raising him [Jesus] from the dead. - Acts 17:31 The Enemy: Injustice
