About the Gospel The Gospel of Matthew is the first book in the New Testament. The Gospel of Matthew is 28 chapters long. It has the most chapters out of all the gospels The Gospel was written around A.D 85 Mathews gospel was written Greek Mathew was familiar with Mark s gospel
Who was the Gospel written for Matthew's gospel is written for a Jewish people who converted to Christianity His purpose in writing to the Jews was to show them that Jesus of Nazareth was the expected messiah Matthew's gospel is the most Jewish of all the gospels.
About Mathew It is thought that Mathew was a teacher He also worked as a rabbi for a while This explains his great knowledge and understanding of the scriptures
