  11. Set the culture for delegation Create a cohesive sense of values and direction within the team. Don t let your colleagues think you know all the answers. Don t be a hero ask for help. Transfer some of your own decision-making powers to others. Share responsibility and accountability with colleagues. Coach colleagues to give them confidence in their own abilities. Provide supervision and resources to support the team. Explicitly recognise where delegation is already happening (e.g. financial management).
