As technology advances, the threat of job automation looms larger. Researchers predict nearly half of all jobs are at risk of being replaced by machines. Machine learning capabilities are growing, with tasks like grading essays and diagnosing diseases now within reach. While machines excel at repetitive tasks, humans still outperform them in handling novel situations. The future of work is evolving rapidly, raising questions about job security and the role of technology in our careers.

  7. We make sure that the inputs and needs of the people are taken into consideration and to come up with a realistic approach to the budgeting process. After consideration of the budget by the full council, we then give feedback to people on the resolutions made.

  8. Changes at policy level The President, E.D Mnangagwa embraced our request as women councillors to accommodate at least 30% women representation at local level. Women and girl child empowerment has been a successful journey and still an ongoing process in Zimbabwe. We now have more girls in a fully functional junior council than boys. This shows that the girl child is now responding to gender equality and empowerment systems and is determined to participate and occupy high and influential leadership positions in Zimbabwe. Approved policies now in place Gender budgeting Suggested for the establishment of one GBV stop centre

  9. Changes at individual level Introducing inclusion on platforms that largely offer social protection to men and women has given me confidence and energy to continue advocating for my community Ever Kasaira- Gender-Based Violence survivor said I am really greatful for the councillor, Charity Tammbara who has been advocating and encouraging us, the women in the community to work with our own hands and to do self help projects so that we become financially independent.

  10. Changes at individual level I attribute this change to my community. Through gender links, I have managed to travel in different countries for capacity building and summits where I gained knowledge, confidence and exposure on gender equality. Can now speak out type using a laptop To resolve these challenges I have managed to engage farm owners, political leaders, village heads to mobilize people to attend meetings when it comes to gender budgeting process.

  11. Gender equality challenges Challenges faced My survey reveal that most people especially the youth are not active participants in the budget consultation process distance is also another challenge since some people travel long distances to the ward centre and they lack guidance on effective implementation of gender budgeting processes. lack of coordination and communication between the community and the responsible leadership for gender budgeting issues there is no sense of unity among community members some people are always negative on the issues of gender budgeting process. Solutions To resolve these challenges I have managed to engage farm owners, political leaders, village heads to mobilize people to attend meetings when it comes to gender budgeting process. In order to involve the youth in the budget consultation process, I have been teaching the young people on the advantages and benefits of their involvement in the process. I have equipped them with knowledge to participate on important roles so that that they become part and parcel of the budgeting process for community development. We have also increased the rate of engagement on social media platforms to imrove the communication and coordination processes.

  12. Next steps My future plan is targeted to all age groups in my community and the less privileged, people living with disabilities to have better livelihoods. I am determined to source resources from the government, local authorities and development partners to continue supporting the community. I also want to upgrade my level of education and also to engage myself in more capacity building workshops and projects as far as my position as ward councillor is concerned. I am also working towards improving the lives of the youth through drug abuse campaigns, entrepreneurship and employment through self help projects. It is my vision that we should establish a drug abuse rehabilitation and call centre which will provide online and psychosocial support and related information. In order to reach the 35.1% percentage of drug abuse reduction in my community, we should open a youth centre which will help us to increase empowerment opportunities for the youth and strengthening their vocational training programmes. My plan is to source and disseminate information which teach primarily about drugs. In order to reduce drug abuse, I shall engage all the young people in my community on programs that teach about the evils of use of drugs. Anticipated reduction in drug abuse 35.10% 63.10% 40.10% 55.10% As of year 2022- 63.1% year 2023- 55.1% year 2024- 40.1%

  13. It is also my next goal to push the policies and initiatives women empowerment and schemes to secure a better, safe and equal place for women in society. I want to advocate for child protection and equality in the gender patterns to reduce violence against children. I want to fight against sexual violence for girls, physical punishment against boys as well as school related gender based violence. As a gender champion and an activist for equality, I want push and develop programmes based on key priorities for the country. These key include ending child marriages, a coordinated approach to menstrual health and hygiene. My next step is to focus on advocating for equal access and enjoyment by boys and girls, women and men of socially valued goods, opportunities, resources and rewards. Achieving gender equality requires change in institutional practices and social relations through which gender disparities are reinforced and sustained.
