The Rotary Foundation What is it? Mission statement: The Rotary Foundation helps Rotarians to advance world understanding, goodwill and peace by improving health, providing quality education, improving the environment and alleviating poverty.

For the 12th consecutive year, The Rotary Foundation has received the highest rating four stars from Charity Navigator, an independent evaluator of charities. "Attaining a 4-star rating verifies that The Rotary Foundation exceeds industry standards and outperforms most charities in your area of work", says Michael Thatcher, president and CEO of Charity Navigator.

Major Gifts What is a Major Gift? US$10,000 or more as defined by The Rotary Foundation. Typically comes from donors who have contributed to The Rotary Foundation in the past. May be made to the Annual Fund, the Endowment Fund, or to a special cause such as Polio-Plus or Rotary Centers. Typically, the result of personal cultivation and solicitation by a volunteer and/or staff member. Involves matching the donor s interests with the needs of the organisation. Often developed over an extended period of time; some major gifts may take many months or even years to materialise.

Endowments Rotary Endowments - Giving for a lasting impact A gift to Rotary s endowment ensures a strong future for Our Foundation by providing a continuous stream of income that will fund Our programmes in perpetuity.
