  1. John 9:1-41 WHY? WHAT? HOW? WHO?

  2. WHY? (John 9:1-2)

  3. Three factors: sin, satan, decay (death)

  4. Romans 1:24 Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness,

  5. Romans 1:26 For this reason God gave them up to vile passions . Romans 1:28 .....God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; ...

  6. Jeremiah 5:25 Your iniquities have turned these things away, And your sins have withheld good from you.

  7. John 10:10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

  8. Acts 10:38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.

  9. Romans 8:18-23 18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

  10. Romans 8:18-23 19 For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.

  11. Romans 8:18-23 20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope;

  12. Romans 8:18-23 21 because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

  13. Romans 8:18-23 22 For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now.

  14. Romans 8:18-23 23 Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body.

  15. Psalm 115:16 The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD's; But the earth He has given to the children of men.

  16. WHAT? (John 9:3-5) What should our response be when we see the effects of sin, satan and decay (death)?

  17. Desire for the works of God to be released

  18. The works of God undo the effects of sin, satan and decay (death)

  19. HOW? (John 9:10,15,16,19,26)

  20. Luke 4:18-19 18 "The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; 19 to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord."

  21. John 14:12 "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.

  22. WHO? (John 9:35-38)

  23. John 9:35-38 35 Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when He had found him, He said to him, "Do you believe in the Son of God?" 36 He answered and said, "Who is He, Lord, that I may believe in Him?" 37 And Jesus said to him, "You have both seen Him and it is He who is talking with you." 38 Then he said, "Lord, I believe!" And he worshiped Him.

  24. THE WORKS OF GOD LEAD US TO AN ENCOUNTER WITH THE GOD WHO WORKS, JESUS CHRIST

  25. THE WORKS OF GOD UNDO THE EFFECTS OF SIN, SATAN AND DECAY (DEATH)

  26. WHERE SIN, SATAN AND DECAY HAVE LEFT THEIR IMPRINT, EXPECT THE WORKS OF GOD TO UNDO THEIR EFFECTS
