From Model to Practice Theory of Change and Impact Pathways (TCIP) of the IRC Platform Mr Stefan A. Haffner Senior Scientific Officer | German Aerospace Center (DLR) LEAP4FNSSSA IRC Webinar May 11th, 2022
From Model to Practice Stefan is a Senior Scientific Officer in the German Aerospace Center (DLR) in the Department for European and International Cooperation in the Project Management Agency (DLR-PT), serving the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). In the LEAP4FNSSA project he is co- coordinating the working group Actors, Alliances and Policies. Based on his experiences with multilateral funding and collaboration processes, he is currently focusing on the development of a long-term cyclic metagovernance model for the AU-EU Partnership for R&I and capacity building. He worked in several international institutions and multilateral projects towards the collaboration of Africa and Europe in the field of STI and capacity building, namely the ERA-Net Cofund ERAFrica and the ERAfrica Initiative, which prepared the ground for the ERA-Net Cofund LEAP-Agri, and the RIA LEAP-RE on renewable energies, which aims, like LEAP4FNSSA, at the establishment of a thematic AU-EU Platforms for R&I and capacity building. Stefan was involved in the context of the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) in the development of three TCIPs (Health, Renewable Energies and Climate Change) which have been adopted in July 2021. He graduated with a master in Geography and Sociology on self-help groups in Nepal in the context of development collaboration.
