With 2,874,605 inhabitants in 1,287.36 sq km, it is the largest city in the country. It is the third largest city in the European Union in terms of population within the city limits. It is the center of the metropolitan area of Rome, which has a population of 4.3 million. Rome is located in the central-western part of the Italian peninsula, in Latium, along the Tiber. The Vatican is an independent country within the city limits of Rome, the only existing example of a country within a city: for this reason Rome is often referred to as the capital of two states

  6. CRETE,GREECE CRETE,GREECE Crete is the largest and most populous island of Greece and the fifth largest in area in the Mediterranean, after Sicily, Sardinia, Cyprus and Corsica. Its capital and largest city is Heraklion, which is the seat of the region of Crete which includes neighboring islands and islets. With a population of 622,909 inhabitants, approximately 160 kilometers south of the Greek mainland and stretching from west to east, it is washed by the Cretan Sea to the north and the Libyan Sea to the south.

PAROS,GREECE PAROS,GREECE Paros is the third largest island of the Cyclades and is located west of Naxos, from which it is separated by a narrow channel about 3 miles wide, while it is 90 nautical miles from Piraeus. It has an area of 193,308 square kilometers and the length of its coast is 118.5 kilometers. The population of the island, during the 2001 census, was 12,853 inhabitants, during the 2011 census, 13,694 and during the last census of 2021, 14,520. The key geographical position of Paros in the central Aegean, the crossroads of sea routes that connect mainland Greece with the islands of the Archipelago, the coasts of Asia Minor and the wider Mediterranean, has been the timeless basis for the development of the island.

The city is located on the river Arno and has about 400,000 inhabitants, called Florentines. A center of trade during the Middle Ages, Florence was ruled by the Medici family. It is considered the cradle of the Italian Renaissance and is known for its artistic treasures.

SANTORINI,GREECE SANTORINI,GREECE Santorini or Thira is an island located in the southern Aegean sea, in the Cyclades island complex, south of Ios, west of Anafi and is one of the most popular islands in the world. It is 128 nautical miles from Piraeus and 63 nautical miles from Crete. Its capital is Fira, while Athinios, the largest port of the island, has been created in the bay of the same name. Its area is 76.19 square kilometers. Today Santorini is one of the most famous travel destinations - tourist centers in the world.

HALKIDIKI, HALKIDIKI, Halkidiki is a peninsula of Macedonia and geographically it is the end of Central Macedonia in the Aegean Sea, which penetrates deep into it, forming three elongated peninsulas, which give the region its characteristic shape. To the northeast there is the Marmari peninsula, between Akanthios and Strymonikos gulf.
