A proposal Association Internationale Sans But Lucratif (AISBL) An AISBL means an association open to Belgians and foreigners, having its registered office in Belgium and pursuing a non-profit aim of international utility. It is therefore an association under Belgian law. It is his goal with an international character that will distinguish it from a "simple" ASBL. https://justice.belgium.be/fr/themes_et_dossiers/associations_et_fondations/aisbl
AISBL The international character of the association is determined by the non-profit purpose of international utility. The aim and the activities which it proposes to implement must be mentioned in the statutes. The registered office must be in Belgium. The statutes representing the basic principles of the organization must be drawn up by authentic deed (notary). Legal personality will be granted by Royal Decree.
AISBL Members of an AISBL can not receive any material benefits from it. The law does not require a minimum number of members, but an association assumes that there are at least two members. The statute of the members must be regulated in the statutes, the law leaving all the freedom to the founders. Although no capital is contributed, AISBL must comply with a number of accounting obligations.
AISBL The AISBL has its own legal personality, independent of that of its members; It means that it has rights and obligations. Members have limited liability and do not bind their own assets to the fate of AISBL. The AISBL is composed of two bodies: the general governing body and the administrative body, whose powers and functioning must be organized by the statutes.
