  14. TRANSITION KEEP AWAY TRANSITION, POSSESSION 3 teams, 3 zones, 1 ball (have extra balls to toss in when the ball is thrown out of bounds) 2 teams start in zone 1. 1 team starts in zone 3 Zone 2 is the transition zone Adjust zone size/# of players per skill level or focus RULES: Start with a jump ball in zone 1 (Red vs Blue). Whichever team gains possession on jump (Blue in diagram) starts on offense. Red on defense. Green must stay in Zone 3. Red tries to maintain possession by playing keep away, Blue tries to gain possession. Once Blue gains possession, they immediately transition to zone 3 by going through zone 2. Red must redefend until the mid line of Zone 2. Blue transitions into Zone 3 and plays keep away against Green. Red stays in Zone 1. Once Green gains possession, they immediate transition to zone 1 by going through Zone 2. Blue must redefend until the midline of Zone 2. Green transitions into Zone 1 and plays keep away against Red. Blue stays in Zone 3. Repeat pattern. If the redefending team gains possession, they stay in the Zone and continue maintaining possession TEAM PERFROMANCE PROGRESSIONS: Uneven # of players Waterfall start with 3v2 and each team gains possession after 3 pass completions. Build to 5v5 or 6v6

Follow as far as comfort level Finish at opposite goal or half field How quickly can they get the ball to the goal How many passes can they complete in a row Progressions: Must go to a different spot each break Must make a back pass and switch fields at least once Layer in defenders (start with 4 and add) Defenders must cover a different player on each break out RESTRAINING LINE TEAM PERFROMANCE 7 1 6 3 G 4 5 2

  16. 4 v 3 RECOVEREE BALL MOVEMENT, LOW TO HIGH SLIDES, RECOVERING DEFENDER, COMMUNICATION C 4 Attackers (Blue 1 - 4) around goal cage, 3 Defenders (A - B) set up 2 low and 1 behind the play (C) Ball starts with 1 and she passes quickly to 2. 2 to 3 and 3 to 4. Once 4 receives the ball she immediately attacks the cage and C enters the game. A & B have to slide and communicate to stop ball and cover C must recover quickly, communicate and find the most dangerous player or space to defend. 4v3 until a goal is scored, shot saved or ball turned over immediately clear to restraining line Rotate in order, restart 1 4 Progressions: Call out any blue player number to attack the cage Attack from different spots Move around recovering player entrance Add 4thDefender recovering A B TEAM PERFROMANCE G 2 3

  17. BEST GAME EVER MOD TRANSITIONS Two teams of 5 players (A & D) A team lines up on GLE, D on the restraining line GK clears to one A to start. All players react. A to restraining line, D to GLE. Every A player must receive a pass and touch the restraining line. Once they do, they turn and attack the cage. Every D player must touch GLE before they can play defense. 5v5 to goal A A A A GK A PROGRESSIONS: No sticks progress to sticks One player must go further (recovering player) Must make one back pass Must back pass and switch fields using the goalie Start at / use the 50 (conditioning!) The other team drops the ball wherever they are and are on defense.
