  1. A Transition/ Orientation Program for Children starting Kindergarten in 2013.

  2. Aims of the program: To make the transition to school positive for children and their families. To support children before they start school. To familiarise children with the school, teachers, other students and the environment. To welcome parents and families to Mayfield East Public School.

  3. School readiness activities. Fine Motor Development. Gross Motor/ PE games and activities. Social and Emotional Activities. Literacy and Numeracy Activities. Gardening. Art and Craft. Literacy and Numeracy Activities. Cooking Small group and large group Activities. Music and Movement activities.

  4. Commences Friday 20thJuly, 2012 until Friday 30thNovember, 2012 (excluding school holidays). In Kindergarten s Room, Mayfield East Public School. From 9:00 am- 11:30 am.

  5. Children must wear closed in shoes. Hats must be worn for outdoor activities. Bring a piece of fruit and water for fruit break. Children must wear appropriate clothing for all activities. Please label your child s belongings. Children will receive a certificate of graduation and report at the end of the program.

  6. 9:00 am: Welcome 9:15 am: Free play activities. 10:00 am: Fruit Break 10:20 am: Outdoor/ Gross Motor Activities 10:45 am: Story time 11:00 am: Craft activity and free choice activities. 11:30 am: Home time. Each week activities will be based on a story or theme.
