Background 1st April Bureau decision to postpone SB 52 to 4-12 October 2020 SB Chairs to prepare a plan for SB 52, including possible adjustments needed relating to COVID-19 regulations SB Chairs to present their plan to the Bureau at its meeting on 28 May SB Chairs to present their plan to observers at June Momentum on 2 June
Expectations for SB 52 Contribute to support and strengthen a robust international climate regime and provide emphasis and visibility to ambition of climate action on mitigation and adaptation Maintain and strengthen the guidance and institutional frameworks for the implementation of Convention, Kyoto Protocol and Paris Agreement Ensure delivery on all aspects of the SB 52 agenda Strengthen and advance implementation and support to developing countries Significantly advance operational guidance for PA Article 6, transparency and common time frames of NDCs
