Preparede.org/know-your-zone/ Find Your Evacuation Zone to Stay Safe Identified as Zones A, B, C, or D. Evacuation zones encompass low-lying areas, susceptible to flooding and storm surge. Identifies specific evacuation routes for your area and the proper guidance in the event of an emergency. Planning for evacuation reduces unnecessary congestion and overcrowding. Allows for quicker and safer movement.

Write down and keep it in a place that is accessible. Sign up through DENS. This is the primary system for public warning and emergency protective action information. Residents can receive an alert via text, call, email or social media depended on the preferences that they chose. You can also tune into to local television or radio stations to learn which areas will be affected by a potential storm.
