  5. Articulated Credit Career Technical Assurance Guide (CTAG) These courses are guaranteed to transfer to any Ohio Public College or University with an approved equivalent course. Obtained by earning a passing score on a WebXam (end of course exam) in your Career Technical Education (CTE) course.4 Passing scores vary by program, and can be found using the CTAG Guidance Document. Students must indicate permission to apply credit- this is the last question of their WebXam/End of course test. Select yes. Students can apply credit for up to 3 years post graduation, but process is more complicated after high school In order to get credit the college or university must have an aligned equivalent. To view all equivalencies, and matches between k-12 institutions and Ohio Public Colleges and Universities the Ohio Department of Higher Education has created the CTAG Guide Program/Course Reporting System. To view Kent State s approved CTAG equivalencies visit the Kent Specific CTAG Program Guide. For more information on CTAG please visit the Ohio Dept. of Higher Education CTAG page. 5 3/4/2025

  6. Articulated Credit Bilateral Credit (AKA Tech Prep Credit, or Articulated Credit) Awarded in addition to any possible CTAGs a student can obtain through their Career Technical Education/Tech Prep program. Each college or university can enter into contracts, called Articulation Agreements with specific CTE programs at specific schools. Each program can get different credits related to their college major. These credits could vary from college to college, and may not always transfer if you decide to attend another higher education institution. Students must apply for this credit upon graduation. Each college or university has a different application process, to speak about processes for other colleges in Northeast Ohio please visit the Northeast Ohio Tech Prep site. At Kent State, students are able to apply for their credits once they are admitted, and have submitted their FINAL high school transcript. To apply for credits fill out the appropriate student credit application form, and have your high school e-mail it to us at techprepemail@kent.edu. What to do if your program or school doesn t have an agreement with Kent State? If you have further questions about Tech Prep at Kent State visit the Tech Prep website. 6 3/4/2025
