In the realm of geological processes, weathering manifests in various forms such as chemical, biological, and physical processes. Chemical weathering involves decomposition through reactions, while biological weathering includes disintegration by plants, animals, and microbes. Physical weathering disintegrates rocks through mechanical processes without altering their chemical composition, and it is most active in diverse environments. Explore the intricacies of weathering and its impact on Earth's landscape.

  3. Physical weathering: In this process the rocks are disintegrated into small pieces through mechanical processes. In this type of weathering , rocks or their minerals do not undergo any changes in their chemical composition. Physical weathering is most active in hot deserts without vegetation cover, high mountains and polar regions. Types of physical weathering: 1. Frost Action 2. Insolation 3.Pressure Release 4.Salt crystallization

  4. Chemical Weathering: Decomposition and decomposition of rocks due to chemical reactions is known as Chemical weathering. Chemical weathering occurs chiefly in the hot and humid areas of the world. Types of Chemical Weathering: 1.Oxidation 2.Carbonation 3.Solution 4.Hydration

  5. Biological Weathering: subsequent disintegration of rocks by plants, animals, and microbes. Growing plant roots can exert stress or pressure on rock. Microbial activity breaks down rock minerals by altering the rock s chemical composition, thus making it more susceptible to weathering. Biological Weathering is the weakening and
