Health and Wellness Woodland Wellness Group Counseling The College of Medicine offers individual counseling services through the Woodland Wellness Group in partnership with the Lexington Medical Society. To make an appointment with a psychologist in the Woodland Wellness Group, call 859-825-8986 and leave a confidential voicemail for Dr. Hough or Dr. Smith or email WoodlandWellnessGroup@gmail.com. A student has access to 12 free counseling sessions per calendar year. You can also find more information here. Talkspace: Access mental health clinicians through this confidential and secure online text and video chat therapy platform. All currently enrolled UK students (all campuses) have access free of charge. To access the service and learn more about the resource, visit: www.Talkspace.com/uky. How Talkspace works: Answer a few simple questions to get started it takes less than two minutes. The Talkspace team will match you with a provider (typically within 48 hours). Connect with your provider and begin your mental health journey, including unlimited messaging and two phone or video sessions each month.

Health and Wellness TRACS (Triage, Referral, Assistance and Crisis Support Program) provides in-person and virtual mental health services for individuals experiencing various forms of mental health issues and/or crisis. Our program ensures that individuals in distress receive timely and appropriate care, bridging the gap between immediate needs and long-term solutions. We are the gateway for referrals to the UK Counseling Center and make referrals to other on/off campus resources. We are here to help! How we can help: Provide clinical support for any mental health concerns Assist with dealing with trauma related to a recent crisis Provide clinical case management, resource linkage, case coordination and collaboration Explore well-being support in other units on campus Services are offered in-person and virtually, Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Or you can leave a voicemail message, and someone will return your call during business hours.

  5. Health and Wellness Free one year membership to Headspace app Headspace, a mindfulness and meditation app, is available for free to any UK student. You can apply for Headspace here.   7. Health and Wellness Disability Resource Center Multiple campus offices Affiliating with the DRCSteps to Complete the Online Affiliation Form 1. Access the online Student Affiliation Form using your MyUK LinkBlue username and password. 3. Select Start New Application and complete the form to the best of your knowledge. The items marked with a red asterisk are required fields. 4. Select Save Application Draft to proceed to the next section of the form. Upload documentation of a disability or condition to the online form. Please note, documentation is required prior to the provision of permanent accommodations. If you have questions regarding documentation, please email drc@uky.edu. 5. When you are done, select Submit Application. You will receive an email notification confirming your submission through your official UKY email. 6. Within 1-3 business days, you'll receive an email with further instructions from our office to schedule a meeting with a Disability Resource Center Consultant to finalize accommodations. Services: Alternative textbooks, advocacy, Deaf and hard of hearing services, door-to-door transportation, service and support animals

Incident Reporting Incident Reporting and Feedback To maintain a safe, nurturing learning environment and culture, the Office of Biomedical Education encourages all learners to report any concerns or incidents that might detract from its mission. These concerns may range from a lack of professionalism or curriculum concern to reports of mistreatment. Please click on the link to report any observed incidents about UK College of Medicine faculty, staff, or students. The more detail provided, the more likely College of Medicine leadership will be able to reach an appropriate resolution. Every effort will be made to preserve the anonymity of the person reporting. College of Medicine leadership will not disclose any identifiable information unless the student gives explicit permission to do so.
