THE DUDE NETWORK MONITORING TOOL.
What is dude? - It is one of the most powerful Free network monitors. - Dude is monitoring application of Mikrotik which is free but not open source software.
INTRODUCTION Dude is application by MikroTik. It scans all network devices present in subnets and monitor them. This tool can map all devices within network. Easy installation and usage. Allows you to draw your own maps and customise devices. Dude has auto discovery. Even you can have scheduled auto discovery i.e. per week , month..
It supports the export and import of old database. -Following are commands used for export and import of database.
Change path procedure To change path of database , following are the steps: -Disable the server. -Move the existing directory. -Change the path of directory. -Enable the server.
GUI It has excellent graphical user interface.
Links Links list , shows all your links. Also you can add links directly from map. You can change shape of links as per our interest so that they represent ethernet , fibre optics e.t.c.
Notifications Notifications are obtained in the form of -E-mails -speak -Log -Syslog -Sounds -Group
