ZORBALIK VE ZORBA KAVRAMLARI Bullying repeated physical violence perpetrated by stronger person or people to a weaker person can be described as psychological and Bully can be described as someone who put pressure on other people using power. For this reason, bullying can be explained as pressure one person puts on another
Peer bullyING AND ITS VARIETIES It is the voluntary/involuntary act of showing negative behaviour by one or more students to another student in order to harm by way of pressure. In this point, this act can appear in the following forms; Verbal, Physical, Emotional, Cyber

It contains an open attack against the person. Swearing, Insulting, Harming, Saying rude and ugly words, Embarrassing, humiliation, Mocking, Making fun of accent or way of speaking, Teasing, Using unpleasant, derogatory names (nicknames), Smiling in a humiliating way Ignoring, Excluding from games or other activities, Isolation through exclusion, Punishment by exluding from a group, Preventing the bullied person from talking to other students and making friendships, Trying to break their relationship by provoking their friends against the victim, Slander, Putting the victim in a difficult position with slander, gossip and unfounded rumors, Complaining to the teacher about the things he or she did not do, Putting the victim into a difficult situation by telling his/her secrets to others. CONSEQUENCES OF PEER BULLYING FOR THE BULLY.. Skipping school, breaking school rules Defying the teachers Indifference towards school, decrease in academic achievement Showing aggressive and violent behavior towards the family or the teacher Inadequate social skills, isolation and being alone Alcohol, cigarette and drug use at an early age In adulthood: involvement in crime and violence, domestic violence, risky behaviors, drug use and risk of psychiatric illness
CONSEQUENCES OF PEER BULLY FOR THE BULLIED PERSON Feeling worthless and unhappy, anger, helplessness and loneliness Sleeping disorder, physical symptoms (abdominal pain, headache, nausea) Unwillingness towards school, being away from school, Feeling insecure at school, Decline in academic achievement, Concentration problems, change of school or class, low self-esteem Depression and anxiety Thoughts and attempts to harm oneself

FALSE IDEAS THAT ARE THOUGHT TO BE TRUE Fighting and acting aggressively is a natural part of growth and development Some kids deserve to be bullied The TRUTH is all these ideas about bullying are FALSE! Children who complain about bullying are mother's boys If you ignore the bullies, they won't mess with you The best way to deal with a bully is to fight and take revenge. People who are bullied suffer for a certain period of time, but, it's not a big deal as they'll forget later. Only men bully.
