Distributed Leadership is an emergent property of a group or network of individuals whereby expertise is pooled to influence schools and students positively. School leaders are encouraged to distribute leadership widely to benefit from collective intelligence and foster a shared sense of accountability. Strategies for building trust between principal and deputy principal include communication, sharing ideas, developing shared vision, discussing issues, and consultation. These principles are central to leadership of learning in educational settings.
