  1. ECG OR EKG Electrocardiogram OR Electrocardiograph

  2. ECG OR EKG ---- Electrocardiogram ECG ; Is a Diagnostic test that recorded the electrical activity of the heart - Skin preparation - Shaving of the hair - Condition that required ECG 1- Chest pain 2- Palpitation

  3. There are 2 types of leads 1- Peripheral Lead or Limb Lead R ---- Red ----- RA( Rt arm) L ------ Yellow -----LA ( Lt arm ) F ---- Green ----- LL ( Lt leg above the ankle ) N ----- Black ----- RL ( Rt leg above the ankle)

  4. 2- chest lead or central lead ( C or V ) - C1 ----- 4thintercostal space at the right side of the sternum - C2 ----- 4thintercostal space at the left side of the sternum - C3 ----- between the position of C2 & C4 - C4--- 5thintercostal space at the left side of the chest OR midclavicular line under the nipple 2 cm - C5 ---- between the position C4 & C6 - C6 ---- Left Mid axillary line - NOT ( C4 & C5 & C6 ) At the same level

  5. ECG Wave Shape

  6. Interpretation 1.P wave (atrial depolarization). 2.QRS complex (ventricular depolarization). 3.T wave (ventricular repolarization).

  7. Thanks
