  1. "The danger of insulting the Spirit of Grace." 8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward yo u; thatye, always havingall sufficiencyinall things, may abound to every good work: 2 Corinthians 9:8

  2. The Abundance of God's Grace Ephesians 2:8-9, we are reminded, "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God not by works so that no one can boast."

  3. The word "grace" has both Latin and Greek origin. It means favor or kindness shown without regard to the worth or merit of the one who receives it and in spite of what that same person deserves. Other words from the same root are grateful, gracious, gratis, grant, etc. Grace is an outrageous blessing bestowed freely on a totally undeserving recipient

  4. The Responsibility of Grace We must acknowledge the responsibility that comes with receiving God's grace. Romans 6:1-2 cautions us, "What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?" We are called to honor God's grace by living a life that reflects His love and righteousness.

  5. Psalm 103:8 The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in mercy.

  6. The Parable of the Workers in the Vineyard 20 For the kingdom of heaven is like a landowner who went out early in the morning to hire workers for his vineyard.2He agreed to pay them a denarius[a]for the day and sent them into his vineyard. 3 About nine in the morning he went out and saw others standing in the marketplace doing nothing.4He told them, You also go and work in my vineyard, and I will pay you whatever is right. 5So they went. He went out again about noon and about three in the afternoon and did the same thing.6About five in the afternoon he went out and found still others standing around. He asked them, Why have you been standing here all day long doing nothing? 7 Because no one has hired us, they answered. He said to them, You also go and work in my vineyard. 8 When evening came, the owner of the vineyard said to his foreman, Call the workers and pay them their wages, beginning with the last ones hired and going on to the first. 9 The workers who were hired about five in the afternoon came and each received a denarius.10So when those came who were hired first, they expected to receive more. But each one of them also received a denarius.11When they received it, they began to grumble against the landowner.12 These who were hired last worked only one hour, they said, and you have made them equal to us who have borne the burden of the work and the heatof the day. 13 But he answered one of them, I am not being unfair to you, friend.Didn t you agree to work for a denarius?14Take your pay and go. I want to give the one who was hired last the same as I gave you.15Don t I have the right to do what I want with my own money? Or are you envious because I am generous? 16 So the last will be first, and the first will be last.

  7. The danger of taking advantage of God's grace. Hebrews 10:29 warns, "How much more severely do you think someone deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified them, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace?" Let us not fall into the trap of abusing God's grace for our own selfish desires.

  8. Jesus came to bring "good news" that is the essence of the gospel. The good news is that peace with God doesn t come because of what I can do, but for what He has already done for me. Is neither simple nor cheap. Homework: Provide an example of asserted true Grace this week make someone's day by applying the principle of God s true Love & Grace
